CONFINEMENT

In 2012 Rhinos were straying out of the Park as far as Figtree and Plumtree.  In order for the National Park to secure these Rhino it was necessary to re erect the Game fence around the Whovi.

$180 000 dollars was raised and a 52km fence was erected around the Whovi Game Park, taking 2 years.

Since completion of the fence in December 2014, NO Rhino have been poached in that area and NO Rhino have moved out.
The intention was that Parks could concentrate their anti poaching in an IPZ and that Rhino in vulnerable areas could be trans located in.
